Sydney's Biggest Laughs Return This Summer
with the inaugural 2026 Sydney Comedy Revue

Sydney audiences are set to finish the year on a high as some of Australia's most beloved comedians come together for the inaugural Sydney Comedy Revue, taking over the iconic State Theatre on Tuesday, 29 December 2026.

Designed as a celebration of Australian comedy during the festive season, the 100-minute spectacular will feature an all-star line-up including comedy legend Vince Sorrenti, the incomparable Mary Coustas as Effie, satirical Wharf Revue stars Jonathan Biggins and Phil Scott , fan favourite Heath Franklin as Chopper, as well as acclaimed stand-up performers Ting Lim, Cam Knight, Brandon Duff and Steve Philp

And to ensure it’s entirely relevant, apart from delivering some of their all-time best material, each artist will also target incidents, events or people which were significant during the year of 2026

The Sydney Comedy Revue aims to establish a new annual tradition in the city's entertainment calendar, creating a unique post-Christmas experience that brings audiences back into the CBD while supporting local hospitality and tourism businesses.

Comedy HQ Managing Director Mark Duclos said, "The period between Christmas and New Year's Eve has long been underserved for major live entertainment. The Sydney Comedy Revue is about giving people a reason to reconnect, celebrate and share a laugh with family and friends before welcoming in the New Year."

Packed with stand-up, satire, music and unforgettable characters, the 2026 Sydney Comedy Revue promises a night of world-class entertainment and a fitting finale to 2026.
